In this role, the selected candidate will perform overnight sleep testing procedures. Hours are 7p-7a Friday OR Saturday as well as one weekday night. To be considered, you must be a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) with ideally two or more years of experience in nocturnal sleep studies.

community-based satellites to offer seamless medical assistance.
Our Medical Service/Department at the East Orange and Lyons campuses currently
has rewarding career opportunities for Medical Instrument
Technicians/Polysomnographic Technologists. The successful candidates will
operate and monitor computerized and other equipment in the Sleep Laboratory to
obtain high quality polysomnographic studies. In addition to performing
sleep-monitoring studies, the individuals we seek will occasionally assist in
technical analysis. Work is performed during an evening tour to accommodate a
40-hour week. Hours may vary as required. Certification with the Board of
Registered Polysomnography Technologists is preferred.

The Sleep Disorder Center of Morristown Memorial Hospital has per diem night tech positions available in our accredited sleep center located in Morristown, New Jersey. Morristown Memorial offers very competitive per diem and shift differential rates. Shifts are 12 hours.

Summary of Job Function:
Duties to include but not limited to:
Responsible for standard and complex polysomnographic recordings including titration, seizure and parasomnia studies
Ability to troubleshoot equipment
Ability to work independently
Requirements:
Successful completion of a polysomnographic program approved by the commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education, or other nationally recognized accrediting organization; or has demonstrated abilities as a Sleep Technician with a minimum of 1 year sleep experience. Sleep Trainee with a minimum of 3 months on the job training may be considered. Registered Sleep Technologist preferred.
